How Does Roasting Increase the Oil Yield?

Why Should Oilseeds Be Roasted before Pressing by Oil Expeller?
Oilseeds need to be baked before being pressed in an oil press, mainly to improve oil yield and enhance oil quality. Baking expands the cell wall of oilseeds through high temperature, promotes the release of oil, and denatures and separates proteins, thereby improving the efficiency of oil extraction.
